MY STYLE

I shoot in a creative documentary style, which means that most of the photographs are captured as they happen,  these are real and spontaneous moments- no posing, and no staring at the camera required. I’m all about great vibe, fun and capturing emotive moments in a relaxed manner. I know how much planning goes into a wedding, so I make sure that all those little things that make your day so unique are photographed creatively too.  When photographing a wedding I am always looking to capture the best of the day and create a story that looks even better from what you remember.

HOW I WORK

I’ll start the day from your morning prep and follow your timeline as the day unfolds up until the first three dances at night.  While I never like posing anything I am always very happy to spend a little time with the couple  somewhere pretty and away from the crowd.  These photos are always romantic and very relaxed.  Or they could be totally crazy, with a trip to the beach or hopping a fence or two to get to a nearby field.   I just let you and your partner interact with one another ( with very little guidance given when needed) and capture the results!  I keep it simple and the photos are always beautiful!

PRICING

If you’re interested in booking and would like to check my availability, discuss your special day in depth and request my detailed pricing guide,  please head over to my  CONTACT  form.  My collections are not fixed and if you’d like to tweak a thing or two – that won’t be a problem at all. FAQs

Q: WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

A: I’m based in Perthshire, Scotland, but I am available for weddings all over Scotland, and sometimes beyond. For full-day weddings, travel within 100 miles return is included, but if your wedding is further than that additional charges may apply depending on travel distance, accommodation expenses, etc.

Q: WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU NEED FROM ME BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY?

A: At first, I will e-mail you my booking form to get some basic info. And that’s how we get the ball rolling! Another questionnaire is sent to you, four weeks prior to the wedding (for the finer details).

Q: IS HAVING TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS BETTER THAN HAVING JUST ONE?

A: There are a few positives if there is two of us. We can be in different places at the same time, photographing your day  from different perspectives and capturing unique moments simultaneously.

Q: WHO ARE YOUR SECOND SHOOTERS?

A:  My second shooters are other wedding photographers with similar style to mine, who I frequently work with and are available to cover your date.

Q: HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU DELIVER?

A: I select the best photographs from the day, edit them individually in my signature style, create a photo-story and ensure that each photo that goes into your album is the best it can be and tells a story. I don’t keep photos for myself.  If the photo is good – it gets included in the final batch! For my full-day weddings, the minimum you will get is 600+ photographs.

Q: HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?

A:  With my full-day collections you’ll get your high res ready to print files on USB, Wooden USB box + selection of prints and in addition all files will be uploaded to a private online gallery, with options to view, share and download.

Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY WEDDING PHOTOS?

A: My aim is to hit the 4 week mark in the Spring and Winter, but during peak season (May – October), my turnaround time is usually between 4-6 weeks.

Q: CAN I PURCHASE ALBUMS AFTER THE WEDDING DAY?

A: Of course.

Q: WE DON’T LIKE HAVING OUR PICTURE TAKEN, WHAT WILL YOU DO ABOUT THIS?

A: Please don’t worry about this. Very few people like their picture taken, but my job is to make you feel at ease in front of the camera and remember,  I’m only trying to take the most flattering photos of you, the ones that you’ll be proud to show to your friends and family!

Q: DO I HAVE TO ORDER PRINTS THROUGH YOU?

A: The difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through different printing vendors, so I encourage clients to let me help with prints or order my Kraft print boxes.

Q: HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR WEDDING DATE?

A: A deposit payment of £300 and signed contract is required in order to get your date on my calendar. The remaining balance of your wedding day collection is due 30 days prior to your wedding.

Q: DO WE HAVE TO MEET WITH YOU AT THE VENUE PRIOR TO WEDDING TO DISCUSS THE LOCATION AND LIGHTING

A: It’s not necessary. In general, I prefer the element of surprise as it is good for creativity. Where I take photos on the day is  also light and weather dependent.

Q: DO YOU HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE?

A: Yes.

KIND WORDS

‘Hi Eve, we have now received your package. Thank you so so much for all our prints they are absolutely beautiful and we have already started putting them in frames around the house! We are beyond pleased with how all our photos have turned out. Such wonderful memories and keepsakes for the future. You captured such amazing moments for us and we are so grateful. From me ( Jerry) and Claude both, thank you

Thank you so much for our wonderful wedding photographs. They are better than we could have imagined & we’re so glad we chose you as our photographer. We absolutely loved having you around on our special day. Lots of love, Mr & Mrs G-P.

‘Thank you for playing such a big part of our special day, you were absolutely fantastic and our photographs are out of this world. You captured every single moment of our day in such a mesmerising and unique manner, to give us such natural and beautiful photographs. We really can’t thank you enough for our outstanding experience with you. You made what was a beautiful day for us into stunning memories for the rest of our lives.  Lots of love Nikki and David Stewart”

‘From the second we shared our wedding photos with our friends and family, people kept telling us how unique and captivating our photos were. This is because Eve connects with her clients. Her interest in what makes you tick enables her to wholeheartedly capture the spirit of the day. Eve was not just our wedding photographer, she was part of our day and that is what makes her truly special.”  Anna & Patrick

‘Thank you so much for being a huge part of our day! All the photographs look stunning! We received lots of good feedback from the guests about how good and fun you were and have made some recommendations to friends. Thanks again! We couldn’t have got through it without you! Grant + Gav’

‘Thank you so much for capturing such beautiful pictures of our wedding day! We had such an amazing day and your pictures will keep our memories of the day alive! We are absolutely delighted and will recommend you to all who ask! ‘ Stacey & John

”Eve took our wedding photos back in August 2014, we got married at Fingask Castle and we could not have been happier with her! On the day she was brilliant with our guests and took some really brilliant photos of me getting ready and my husband nervously waiting for me. I am not great at getting my pictures taken, but she was so patient with me! When we got the photos I was totally blown away, she did a brilliant job and it was really great to see all the bits I had missed when I was hidden away getting ready! I would highly recommend her to anyone asking about any kind of photography!”Cassie & Grant

‘ Eve was the photographer for my husband and I’s wedding reception, we were married in Vegas and our reception back in Scotland was a chance to celebrate with everyone at home. She is fantastic to work with, she instantly puts you at ease, making natural looking photos much easier to achieve. She is full of ideas on how to best use your surroundings for lovely photos, you can just relax and follow her lead.  She was great with our guests, being very patient while everyone was arranging who wanted photos with whom. Also we had our little dog there ( Bilbo the Chuhuahua) who we wanted photos with, and bless her, Eve was so patient with him ( they do say never to work with kids or dogs!). He’s a hyper little dog and we still managed to get some wonderful shots of him! Eve is full of passion for her job and really provides a fantastic experience, her sole focus is to ensure you have the most wonderful wedding photos, there’s no clock watching or eagerness to leave at all (at our reception she willingly stayed for longer than we had booked her for, telling us that time wasn’t an issue, she just wanted to ensure she had all the shots she needed). The photos came out wonderfully we had so many to look through, our favourites printed beautifully and are hung all over our home. Eve had a very fast editing/turn around time, it was great getting the images back so soon! I have already been recommending Photographs by Eve to everyone who asks for photographer recommendations, and will continue to do so. I can’t praise her highly enough, and I encourage anyone thinking of making a booking to do so- you won’t regret it!” Joanna & Dave
